Josh has been intrigued by politics since he was seven years old and watched with his family a debate between then President George H. W. Bush and Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton. Watching the debate made him realize that all though being a cop or a firefighter, like all his friends wanted to be one day, was cool, it was even cooler to be an elected public servant. Throughout high school Josh worked on several local political campaigns before becoming one of the youngest people ever in the State of Tennessee to seek elected office when, at the age of 18 he ran for the Williamson County School Board. Although he lost his school board race, Josh was later elected Student Body President at Lambuth University where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science. Josh is currently enrolled in his second year of law school at Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery. He is married to the former Leslie Brown of Birmingham; the couple lives in the Cloverdale community in Montgomery. |
