WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 14, 2011) - Public Strategy Associates, a Montgomery-based political consulting firm, received a Pollie Award Saturday night at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. sponsored by the American Association of Political Consultants. Public Strategy Associates received the 2011 Bronze Award for the category “State Legislature, Republican, General Election” for a mail piece it designed in the Alabama Senate District 13 race between Gerald Dial and Greg Varner. PSA served as general consultant for the Dial Campaign and prepared a mailer, which was a brown paper bag, asking recipients to use the bag for all of the “trash” being disseminated by the Varner campaign against Mr. Dial. According to Senator Dial, the mail piece was the “most popular advertisement of his entire campaign.” The Saturday evening event was held at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington and was the 20th Annual Conference “recognizing the stars in political and public affairs communications.” Public Strategy Associates’ senior partner Brent Buchanan said, “We are honored to receive the award from such a prestigious organization comprised of our peers in the industry. Not many firms in Alabama have received this award, and we hope it’s the first of many for us and others in the state.” To view the program and categories, click here: http://www.theaapc.org/downloads/Pollies/2011/winnersbook2011pollies.pdf |
